IRISH LANGUAGE AND DANCE CLASSES

All classes and ceilis are at Blessed Sacrament Church, 194 Fourth Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, K1S 2L6 unless otherwise indicated.

Monday/Dé Luain

  • January 2017: 9, 16, 23, 30
  • February 2017: 6, 13, 27

  • May 2017: 1, 8, 15, 29

Beginners: Have never done any Irish, ever. Advanced Beginner: Have previously done some Irish but need a refresher Intermediate: Can have very simple conversation in Irish. High Intermediate: Has a reasonable level of fluency. Can participate in everyday conversation, can read simple Irish text and writing simple sentences . Advanced: Has a good to high level of fluency of the Irish language.

Monday night classes will begin on September and run until December and resume on January and run until May 2016.

CEILI DATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS

2017

April

  • Saturday 8 April 2017, ceili at 7:00PM, a bargain for students (with student ID), $5; $10 for members, and $15 for non-members. This is a family-friendly event, children 12 years old and under, enters free accompanied by an adult. Dances are called with brief instruction beforehand. No prior experience necessary. You don't need to be with a partner, one can always be found for your time on the dance floor.

Saturday/Dé Sathairn

During 2016 on the third Saturday of every month, 7:00-10:30 pm. Monthly céilí dates for the 2016-2017 season.


Please note that the September, December 2016, March, April and May 2017 céilís, will occur on the second Saturday of the month, instead of the normal third Saturday!:
