CCE Ottawa will be busy this year. This month we are welcoming Maureen Mulvey Saturday, January 16th, for an afternoon dance workshop and ceili. For those of you who are eager to learn the set dances we do at the céilís, this is a wonderful opportunity to try them and to meet the other CCE dancers.
Weekly language and dance classes are starting up. Watch for announcements for Irish-language immersion weekends held throughout the year.
In October, CCE Ottawa will be hosting the CCE Eastern Regional Annual General Meeting. One of our objectives this year is to raise the profile of CCE Ottawa. To this end, we are developing a new website and we are now on Facebook. We also plan to participate more actively in the St. Patrick’s Week events and walk as a group in the Walk for the Cure this June.
Hope to see many of you at these events and supporting CCE Ottawa. I wish you all health and happiness for 2010.
